Academics
EPJA provides children with the educational and social tools they need to grow into curious lifelong learners, committed members of the community and ethically responsible human beings. Our graduates are capable, self-confident, strongly identified with Judaism and skilled for making positive life choices. They are prepared with a strong foundation for academic excellence in the next phase of their education. Many of our graduates are accepted into the prestigious International Baccalaureate program at the high school and elect to take competitive Advanced Placement courses.
Our school offers an engaging, integrated and rigorous program that includes a strong foundation in our basic academic disciplines:
- Language Arts, with an emphasis on writing, reading and public speaking
- Mathematics
- Science
- Social Studies
- Hebrew
- Judaic Studies
Our students also benefit from an enriched program including:
- Performing and Visual Arts
- Athletics
- Music
- Technology
- Community Service
Throughout the year, students participate in activities, which help to strengthen personal, family and community relationships as well as build character, decision-making skills and integrity. Teachers collaborate to build bridges among disciplines, making learning relevant to students' lives. Ethics and values stemming from Jewish tradition are part of the everyday experience. At the EPJA we believe an education is not just of the mind but of the whole child.
